The Marketing concentration prepares you for a career in one of business's most dynamic fields, covering brand development, consumer behavior, digital marketing, social media strategy, and market research. You'll connect classroom theory to today's fast-evolving technology landscape, and can round out your degree with coursework in Accounting or Management for added flexibility. Students have completed internships with organizations ranging from Spartan Race to Hubbardton Forge.

Entrepreneurial Leadership

The Entrepreneurial Leadership concentration is designed for students who want to launch their own venture, grow a family business, or step into leadership roles that demand creative problem-solving and strategic thinking. You'll build a strong business foundation while developing the entrepreneurial mindset — and the practical skills — to turn ideas into action. With access to Vermont State's experiential learning network and a faculty of seasoned professionals, you'll graduate ready to make your mark.

Launch your business leadership journey. In our Business Administration (B.S.) program, you’ll explore business fundamentals like management, ethics, and finance along with communication, leadership, and teamwork. Then select a concentration to match your career goals — choose from Accounting, Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurial Leadership. You’ll build real-world experience through hands-on learning, preparing for roles in organizations or independent ventures — or graduate study like an MBA. Accounting

The Accounting concentration builds the technical and analytical skills you'll need for careers in public, managerial, or governmental accounting — and puts you on track for CPA licensure. Beyond the core accounting curriculum, you'll gain exposure to auditing, fraud and forensic accounting, and income tax preparation, including hands-on community work through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Internship placements with firms like KPMG, Crowe LLP, and CBIZ demonstrate the caliber of employers who recruit from this program.

Business Administration Concentrations

Management

The Management concentration equips you with the leadership, analytics, and communication skills to guide teams and organizations in a fast-moving global economy. Small class sizes and a curriculum built around real-world decision-making prepare you for roles across industries — and qualified students can even complete the degree on an accelerated three-year track. Recent internship placements include Rutland Regional Medical Center, Dynapower, and Vermont Country Store.
